ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Aquarium, Birds & Small Animals, Inverts and Retail
- aquarium presentation, glass cleaning, gravel cleaning, filling up tank water,
small animal, bird, inverts enclosures – cleaning, enrichment, presentation, husbandry,
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- reliable & punctual
- ability to work independently
IS THIS EXPERIENCE RIGHT FOR YOU
- time commitment (hours & week/months)
- age requirement 16 and over – you
- able to lift 20kg, as their is lifting involved
- transportation
- allergies – With mixture of a seed manufacturing and animal husbandry, you may not be suitable to work in the animal industry if you are allergic to grass seeds, fur, feathers, dust mites etc
- Able to follow instruction and be a starter finisher, to be responsible with animal welfare we can not have people in this industry that are unable to follow instructions as animals lives could be on the line. Anywhere in the animal industry it is so important that tasks are completed efficiently and properly. If you are unable to follow instructions to a decent standard this industry is not for you and we will stop the volunteer role there and then.
